Let go of control and grow!

It all began with an invitation!

Let go of control and seize opportunities for growth!

When I was invited to do a radio interview my first reaction was ‘No way’. Why? The story I tell my-self is, I can’t express my-self, my words come out a jumbled mess and no-one will understand what I am talking about.But to be honest after some considerable reflection and leaning honestly into my emotions, I was worried about being judged.

The invitation to be interviewed, and the fear that came with it, made me realise this was an area I needed to grow in.

So…I stepped out of my comfort zone and into zone of fear. Quickly I became more confident speaking about who I am and what I do. My speech became more fluent, my thoughts and words started to flow. I was in the learning zone now. I had found a rhythm in my speech, my thoughts slowed down and my mind was clear.

Now, I want to do more! More interviews, more audio recordings and maybe a video recording! I am ready to keep growing and learning in the field of broadcasting.

When we move out of our comfort zone and into fear, we find we can learn and grow.

If you want to grow you need to let go of control!
